NFL Disappointing Players Week 14

Disappointing
Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Week 14 of the 2012 NFL season offered its fair share of disappointments. From teams losing to unlikely opponents to elite fantasy options having uncharacteristically-poor performances, this week provided numerous letdowns for the fantasy football owners.

As for some teams who disappointed in Week 14, the Arizona Cardinals definitely had the worst team effort of the week. While they weren’t necessarily expected to do well against the Seattle Seahawks, they had abysmal outings on both offense and defense, losing in a shutout by a final score of 58-0. Other teams that were favorites to win but disappointed include the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons.

When players have high projected value in any given week due to their recent performances or a favorable matchup, owners are more willing to start them. From Andrew Luck and Ahmad Bradshaw to Greg Jennings and Antonio Gates, Week 14 had its fair share of duds. Here’s a look at some of the biggest disappointments at each position from Week 14.
