The end of the 2012 fantasy football season is just a few weeks away and with that, there are owners that are in semifinal matchups this week and need to figure out who to start or sit. I’ve got a player who should find a nice spot on your bench this week. This is the week to sit Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler against the Green Bay Packers.
Cutler has been getting beat up all season long and with a Packers defense that is solid against opposing quarterbacks, this is going to be a long week for Cutler. Cutler could very easily finish with 2-3 interceptions and less than 200 yards passing as the collapse of the Bears continues. Cutler has been stuck on throwing to Brandon Marshall as well and while it has worked most of the time, that continued reliance is going to prove costly at some point and I think this is the week it will.
I would be surfing the waiver wire and in free agency for someone else to lead your team this week if you are starting Cutler presently. I would be looking at names like Josh Freeman, Sam Bradford or even Brandon Weeden over Cutler this week. This is not the week to be sticking with your favorite quarterback if it isn’t going to produce massive numbers and a chance at victory. There are championships to be won in the next two weeks and Cutler isn’t going to help you get there this week so find his replacement on your roster now.
