In the majority of your fantasy leagues, one more win will lead you to your fantasy championship. You are so close that you can almost taste the Shiva trophy (that would be a reference from The League).
However, a handful of significant injuries at the wide receiver position are causing a bit of stress for fantasy owners everywhere. It’s win or go home so let’s check the statuses of these players, shall we?
Roddy White, Atlanta Falcons – White surprised fantasy owners everywhere once he landed on the injury report. After missing practice on both Wednesday and Thursday, head coach Mike Smith was sure White would practice on Friday. However, that was not the case. White is listed as questionable for Sunday, while trying to avoid missing his first game due to injury ever. Fellow wideout Harry Douglas expects White to play. It appears the team wanted to rest him after Thursday to give him the best chance of suiting up.
Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys – Bryant has been the talk of the week in fantasy land, as he will attempt to play after suffering from a broken left index finger. During Friday’s practice, Bryant caught passes with a taped finger. He also said he used his hands to get through press coverage. The way I look at it is, if Dez is well enough to play for the Cowboys, he is good enough to play for my fantasy team. Over the last four weeks, he has scored more fantasy points than any wide receiver in football.
Danny Amendola, St. Louis Rams – After missing the previous two contests with a foot injury, Amendola appears to be on track to return on Sunday. The Rams wideout was a full participant during Friday’s practice and is being listed as probable for Week 15 against the Minnesota Vikings who have allowed the 4th-most fantasy points to receivers over the last five weeks.
Sidney Rice, Seattle Seahawks – Rice is also expected to play in Toronto on Sunday. After missing the previous two days of practice due to a foot injury, Rice was a full participant on Friday. He is officially listed as probable. With the superb play of quarterback Russell Wilson lately, Rice makes for a good option this week.
