Fantasy Football 2012: Ahmad Bradshaw Vows To Play In Week 16

Clearly, the New York Giants missed their workhorse running back on Sunday, as the team was blown out 34-0, courtesy of the Atlanta Falcons.

However, it appears that Ahmad Bradshaw will be back in action in a crucial Week 16.

Bradshaw told reporters on Monday that he fully plans on playing in the team’s must-win game against the Baltimore Ravens. He also added that he will be unlikely to practice all week to rest his knee. Bradshaw is tough and will most likely miss practice all week and then be questionable for Sunday. Then he will be declared active on Sunday morning. It always happens.

From a fantasy perspective, assuming Bradshaw is active, he is a very good play next week. The Giants are unlikely to be getting crushed like they were on Sunday, resulting in more work from the running backs. The Ravens were just torched for 118 yards and a score by Knowshon Moreno on Sunday, so the matchup is favorable. Rookie David Wilson will likely see significant work during this contest and may be worth a shot as a flex. He ran hard against the Falcons, despite the blowout. I wouldn’t be surprised if the two both had around 15 carries or so. One thing is for certain, however. Bradshaw will definitely be the goal line back, boosting his fantasy value a bit more.

Expect the G-Men to get back to pounding the football, as Eli Manning and the passing attack have been struggling as of late.
