Kenneth Faried Heating Up This Winter for Fantasy Basketball Owners
On Friday night, the 23-year-old had another monster fantasy performance against the Dallas Mavericks. Faried may have scored a rather human 11 points, but he grabbed 19 boards and added four steals to his gaudy stat-line. No one could box him out in the paint and Faried’s hair seemed to be the only thing that stood out.
Also on Wednesday night against the struggling Los Angeles Lakers, Faried faired exceptionally well yet again. He was matched up against Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard in the post and was still able to outmuscle them to another monster fantasy night. He finished the game with 21 points, 15 rebounds, and shot an amazing 9-13 from the floor against the two All-Star big men. More amazing was the fact that nine of Faried’s 15 rebounds were on the offensive glass.
That is a total of 34 rebounds in his last two games alone. Most players can’t rack up 34 rebounds in a week, making Faried’s amazing rebound totals all the more valuable for fantasy owners.
Faried is an extremely athletic post option and continuously dunks the ball with authority. He is quick enough to be able to get off the floor like a shooting guard, but is still strong enough to be able to hold his own in the paint, making him one of the elite rebounders in the game right now.
Faried has matured into a great second big man this fantasy season. He is averaging a strong 10 rebounds per contest and his 12.2 points is nothing to sneeze at either. Faried is a guy to trade for in fantasy leagues, before you have to face him and one of his patented 20-rebound performances.
