Top 20 Players From Week 17

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

While the majority of the fantasy football universe plays their championships in Week 16, a handful of fantasy enthusiasts take a bit of a risk by playing through Week 17.

Why is this a risk? Well, every year a few of the elite teams in the league end up resting their key players in the final week of the season, as they have already clinched either playoff berths or a division. This caused some fantasy owners to have to sweat out the possibility of missing out on their star players.

One of the many reasons I would not recommend playing in Week 17 in your fantasy leagues. However, many stud players still produced their usual, big time numbers. Others even posted out of this world type of numbers. Fantasy owners who owned some of the following players were more than grateful, as they most likely won owners their leagues. A lot of names are quite familiar, while others aren’t as much of a household name. Either way, the fantasy production is all that fantasy owners care about.

So, let’s take a look at my 20 best fantasy performances from the final week of the fantasy season (wipes tears). This year was an absolute blast and I already cannot wait until 2013. But don’t worry, although it may not seem like the case, it’ll be back before you know it. I pray that’s the case, anyway.
