Playing Fantasy Football During Super Bowl XLVII

There are going to be people who are in playoff fantasy football leagues that have a major interest in Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday. While I may not be one of those people, I am going to try to help you figure out who will have the biggest games. I personally believe that it is almost impossible to do fantasy football in the playoffs and especially with one game left but I will suggest an idea to you. If you are having a Super Bowl party, get the group together and do a fantasy draft about an hour or so before the game.

If you have ten players, then five people will get Joe Flacco, Colin Kaepernick, Frank Gore, Ray Rice, Justin Tucker, David Akers and each team’s defense but don’t allow any wide receiver or tight end to be picked twice. Each team should have one quarterback, one running back, two receivers, a kicker and a defense when the game starts. At that point, just run it as you would for any other fantasy league. It will keep everyone at the party into the game and if you have someone who can keep track of scoring, you have your winner by the time the winning team is done with the trophy presentation.

If I was doing this and could pick my perfect team for a game like this, this would be my team: I would take Kaepernick, Rice, Torrey Smith, Randy Moss, Tucker and the San Francisco defense. Those are the most solid picks out there for me as a fantasy football owner as I believe these players will lead their position in fantasy points scored. I suggest taking some time out to conduct a draft like this before the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens hit the field.
