2013 Fantasy Baseball: Mark Trumbo Will Have 30 HRs, 100 RBI

Many fantasy baseball owners are currently focusing on the Los Angeles Angels’ power-trio of Albert Pujols, Josh Hamilton, and Mike Trout. However, it appears most of them have forgotten about slugger Mark Trumbo.

Trumbomb is falling well outside of the top-100 in the current ESPN rankings, which is hard to swallow after his 32 home runs and 95 RBI last season. He was one of only 10 players in the American League last year that hit at least 30 home runs and drove in 95 runs, but yet for some reason, he is falling well outside of the first eight rounds in 2013 drafts.

Trumbo will have some of the best run support in the game down in LA. Pujols, Trout, and Hamilton will be on base plenty of times when Trumbo steps into the batter’s box, which will give him plenty of RBI opportunities. The Angels will be one of the best offensive teams in the majors, so Trumbo can easily rack up 115 RBI this year.

Additionally, in most fantasy leagues, Trumbo can be extremely versatile. He is eligible at OF/1B/DH in standard leagues, which only gives him more fantasy value. Trumbo could end up finishing in the top-five among first basemen, while being drafted as a second outfielder in 2013. Now that is amazing fantasy value.

Trumbo is primed for a career fantasy season in 2013. He will get all the help he needs offensively and will easily go over 30 home runs with 100 RBI.
