Fantasy Basketball Playoffs: Miami Heat Players Will Have Big First Round

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

All year the Miami Heat have been carrying fantasy basketball owners. Superstars like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh have become cornerstones of franchises, and the threesome is ready to continue their success into the fantasy postseason.

Here is a quick look at the Heat’s road trip this week:

3/31/2013 – Miami Heat @ San Antonio Spurs

If you are lucky enough to have any of the big three, then you could easily end up with over 100 points from one of them during the first round. Just imagine what that could do for your fantasy week.

There could also be some strong starters outside of the big three, though, so don’t be disappointed if you missed out on them this year. Sharpshooters like SG Ray Allen, PG Mario Chalmers, and SF Shane Battier can all have value in the first round. All three players are getting over 20 minutes a game and hitting plenty of three-pointers.

Also the team’s game next Sunday is even more advantageous to fantasy owners because there are only four other games that day. This means that most of the fantasy world will only be starting half of a lineup that day, so it would be worth it to have as many Heat players as possible in your starting lineup.

Good luck to everyone in this round of the playoffs, but if you have any Heat players, then you probably won’t need it.
