Week 5 Fantasy Baseball Rankings

MikeTrout
Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

Week 4 of the fantasy baseball season was filled with some amazing pitching performances. Several starters like Clayton Kershaw, Felix Hernandez, Cole Hamels, Matt Moore, Patrick Corbin, and Travis Wood all had two strong starts this past week. They all pitched over 12 innings and gave their fantasy owners a pretty strong stat line in the process. Two–start pitchers are one of the hidden secrets of fantasy baseball, so it is always important to keep them in your lineup.

This past week also had some stars come back from the Disabled List. Oakland Athletics OF Yoenis Cespedes missed some time with a strain in his left thumb. However, the star came back with a bang, as he hit a two-run home run in his first game back.

Also Atlanta Braves 1B Freddie Freeman was activated this week. Freeman was on the 15-day DL with a minor oblique injury, but he is ready to get back at it. He was having an amazing season before his untimely injury, so fantasy owners couldn’t be happier to see the thumper back in the lineup this week.

Colorado Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki hurt his shoulder on Sunday. It has come out that he will only miss one or two games, but expect to see the superstar a little lower this week in my payer rankings.

To help you set your last minute lineup this week, here are my complete Week 5 fantasy baseball player rankings.
