Who Will be the Final Players Selected?

We have reached the final round of the 2013 fantasy football early mock draft. There have been a lot of very interesting picks along the way and I will recap all of it coming up later on this week. I’m interested to take a good, hard look at each of the teams and figure out which team will be the winner, but that’s for another day. Here’s a look at how rounds one, two, three, four, five, six, seven and eight went.

The final round is bound to be filled with defenses and kickers as teams fill their rosters completely. It is now coming down to which defenses and kickers will be selected. I know that there are going to be a lot of very good players that will still be left on the board when this ends. I would think that most of those players would come from the skill positions though. I don’t believe that any fantastic kickers or defenses will still be sitting around. The rosters for the final time consist of a quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, tight end, kicker and a defense.

It is now time to finish off this mock draft and get ready to break down what exactly happened. We need to have the ninth and final round to occur first though for that to happen. I look forward to breaking down each team’s roster with good and bad picks coming up later. We begin the final round with the 81st overall pick which is bound to be a kicker...

Bryant may be 37 years old but he is still productive. He made 33 of his 38 field goal attempts last season.

82. Cincinnati Bengals Defense

The Bengals are in a tough division, but have proved that they are a defense worth drafting. They could be even better this season.

83. K Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens

Tucker went 30-for-33 in 2012 and claims that he can have a perfect season this year. We’ll see about that.

84. K Matt Prater, Denver Broncos

prater
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Prater has one of the strongest legs in the league and made 26 of his 32 field goal attempts in 2012.

85. New York Jets Defense

The Jets have suffered some losses defensively, but are still just good enough to be drafted here. The loss of Darrelle Revis will hurt.

7 of 11

86. San Diego Chargers Defense

The final defense taken could turn into a surprise. The Chargers were sixth last season in rushing yards allowed. I like what they are doing.

8 of 11

87. K Dan Bailey, Dallas Cowboys

bailey
Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Bailey was almost perfect last season, making 29-of-31 attempts. He will get more chances this season in my opinion.

9 of 11

88. K Phil Dawson, San Francisco 49ers

dawson
Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Dawson moves to a new team where he could score a ton of points. He also was 29-for-31 on field goal attempts in 2012.

10 of 11

89. K Rob Bironas, Tennessee Titans

bironas
Don McPeak-USA TODAY Sports

Bironas didn’t have a great season last year with 25 field goals in 31 attempts, but he is too good to be that bad again.

11 of 11

90. K Connor Barth, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

barth
Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The final pick of the draft is Barth who made 28-of-33 field goals in 2012. I believe Barth will have to hit more than 35 kicks this coming year.
