Philadelphia Phillies OF Domonic Brown is the hottest hitter in fantasy baseball right now. He has already bashed a National League-leading 19 home runs this season and his 48 RBIs are currently ranked fifth in the NL.

Brown has quickly become the best power hitter in Philadelphia. Most people thought it would be Ryan HowardChase Utley, or Michael Young. However, DB has been the team’s offensive powerhouse and has quickly matured into a top-tier fantasy outfielder.

Brown didn’t start off the year this hot though. He finished the month of April with just three home runs, 11 RBIs, and a meager .233 batting average. Brown was off to a pretty slow start and was on the verge of getting benched in the majority of fantasy formats.

In the 42 games since, though, Brown has been absolutely crushing the ball. He has shockingly racked up 17 home runs, 40 RBIs and has raised his average up to .282. He has become the most dangerous hitter in fantasy over that time and has even put Miguel Cabrera’s numbers to shame in recent weeks.

Brown looked lost throughout 2012, but the 25-year-old has improved by leaps and bounds this season. He is finally laying off the high fastballs which have plagued him throughout his entire career and is gaining confidence with each at-bat. Brown’s strikeouts still may be high, but when he is crushing a home run every 12.4 at-bats, the high K rate is pretty easy to deal with.
