20. Jeff Samardzija, Chicago Cubs

Jeff Samardzija
Scott Rovak-USA TODAY Sports

Jeff Samardzija, Chicago Cubs – Samardzija is striking out batters like he is still in college. The righty has sat down 9.97 batters per nine innings this year to go along with a nasty 3.40 ERA. He will face off against a struggling Seattle offense this week, so expect him to easily rack up 8 K’s on Saturday.

Week 13 Start:

6/29 @ Seattle Mariners

3 of 21

19. Matt Moore, Tampa Bay Rays

MattMoore
Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Matt Moore, Tampa Bay Rays – Moore will get an extra start this scoring period, so fantasy owners shouldn't be afraid to give him the nod this week. He may have allowed an embarrassing 22 earned runs over his last four starts, but he has been dominant during stretches this year as well. If you have the southpaw on your roster, get him into the lineup for Week 13.

Week 13 Starts:

6/25 vs. Toronto Blue Jays

6/30 vs. Detroit Tigers

4 of 21

18. Hisashi Iwakuma, Seattle Mariners

HisashiIwakuma
Bob Stanton-USA TODAY Sports

Hisashi Iwakuma, Seattle Mariners – Iwakuma has been roughed up by Oakland lately, but to his credit it is the fourth time the hitters have seem him this yea alone. Iwakuma still has a 0.89 WHIP this season to go along with an outstanding 2.26 ERA. The Cubbies are currently 26th in the league in batting average (.239), so expect Iwakuma to have another stellar performance this week.

Week 13 Start:

6/28 vs. Chicago Cubs

5 of 21

17. Justin Verlander, Detroit Tigers

JustinVerlander
Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Justin Verlander, Detroit Tigers – Verlander’s most recent skid has been somewhat perplexing. The 2011 AL MVP has allowed three earned runs or more in eight of his last nine starts. Additionally, in his two starts against Tampa last year, Verlander similarly allowed eight earned runs. It is impossible to bench the superstar hurler, but he may have another rough outing this week for fantasy fans.

Week 13 Start:

6/29 @ Tampa Bay Rays

6 of 21

16. Bronson Arroyo, Cincinnati Reds

BronsonArroyo
Frank Victores-USA TODAY Sports

Bronson Arroyo, Cincinnati Reds – Arroyo continues to be one of the most underrated fantasy starters this year. The right-hander has allowed just five earned runs over his last 28.2 innings of work and continues to deal start after start. Fantasy owners should take advantage of his extra start this week, because he will last through at least 12 innings in Week 13.

Week 13 Start:

6/25 @ Oakland Athletics

7 of 21

15. Jordan Zimmermann, Washington Nationals

Jordan Zimmermann
Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Jordan Zimmermann, Washington Nationals – Zimmermann is already 10-3 this season with a 2.26 ERA and a spectacular 0.93 WHIP. He will face off against the hot-hitting Diamondbacks on Wednesday, but if anyone can cool off Arizona, it is Zimmermann.

Week 13 Start:

6/26 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

8 of 21

14. Stephen Strasburg, Washington Nationals

StephenStrasburg
David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Stephen Strasburg, Washington Nationals – After starting the fantasy season off a little rocky, Strasburg has lived up to his ace reputation in recent weeks. Over his last seven starts, Strasburg has allowed just six total earned runs and has seen his ERA drop from 3.45 all the way down to 2.40.

Week 13 Start:

6/27 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

9 of 21

13. Matt Harvey, New York Mets

MattHarvey
Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

Matt Harvey, New York Mets – Harvey had a strong showing in his previous start against the Nats in April. The rookie lasted seven innings and allowed just one earned run in the victory. Fantasy owners can expect at least seven innings and around 8-12 K’s this time around from the young fireballer.

Week 13 Start:

6/29 vs. Washington Nationals

10 of 21

12. Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners

FelixHernandez
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners - Earlier this season, King Felix dominated Pittsburgh. He threw eight innings, allowing just one earned run on six hits in the victory. Pittsburgh is extremely aggressive at the plate, so look for Hernandez to rack up the K’s against the free-swinging Bucos.

Week 13 Start:

6/26 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

11 of 21

11. Max Scherzer, Detroit Tigers

MaxScherzer
Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Max Scherzer, Detroit Tigers – The biggest surprise this fantasy season has easily been Scherzer. He has a flawless 11-0 record right now and is striking out 10.63 batters per nine innings of work. Many thought he was a simply another second starter, but he has clearly become a true fantasy ace this season.

Week 13 Start:

6/28 @ Tampa Bay Rays

12 of 21

10. Justin Masterson, Cleveland Indians

JustinMasterson
Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Justin Masterson, Cleveland Indians – Masterson has been somewhat erratic this season. He has taken down some of the best pitchers in fantasy and has had nine starts with two earned runs or less. However, he has also had six games in which he has surrendered four earned runs or more.

Masterson is still 9-5 this season, and considering he will get two starts in the upcoming scoring period, he will be a must-start in Week 13.

Week 13 Starts:

6/25 @ Baltimore Orioles

6/29 @ Chicago White Sox

13 of 21

9. Clayton Kershaw, Los Angeles Dodgers

ClaytonKershaw
Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Clayton Kershaw, Los Angeles Dodgers – Kershaw has two consecutive no-decisions against Philadelphia. In those starts he has racked up 15 innings, four earned runs, 12 strikeouts, and failed to issue a walk. The southpaw was somewhat touched up (six innings and four earned runs) in his last outing, so expect the perianal Cy Young candidate to get back on track this week.

Week 13 Start:

6/27 @ Philadelphia Phillies

14 of 21

8. Adam Wainwright, St. Louis Cardinals

AdamWainwright
Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

Adam Wainwright, St. Louis Cardinals – Wainwright is 10-4 this season and the former reliever has already thrown three complete games. His 2.37 ERA and 1.01 WHIP are among the best in baseball. Wainwright has matured into a fantasy ace and he will once again show it in Week 13.

Week 13 Start:

6/30 @ Oakland Athletics

15 of 21

7. Hyun-Jin Ryu, Los Angeles Dodgers

HyunJinRyu
The Star-Ledger-USA TODAY Sports

6/29 vs. Philadelphia Phillies

16 of 21

HirokiKuroda
Debby Wong-USA TODAY Sports

Hiroki Kurdoa, New York Yankees – Kuroda has quietly become New York’s ace this season. He has a 2.78 ERA with an untouchable 1.06 WHIP. He has had 10 starts in which he has allowed two earned runs or less and the extra start will certainly raise his value this week.

Week 13 Starts:

6/25 @ Texas Rangers

6/29 @ Baltimore Orioles

17 of 21

5. Gio Gonzalez, Washington Nationals

GioGonzalez
David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Gio Gonzalez, Washington Nationals – Gonzalez will get two starts in the upcoming scoring period and has been untouchable over the last month. He has a 2.00 ERA over his last four starts and the right-hander has struck out 33 batters over that span. Look for Gio to keep the hot-streak going in Week 13.

Week 13 Starts:

6/25 – vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

6/30 - @ New York Mets

18 of 21

4. Chris Sale, Chicago White Sox

ChrisSale
Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

Chris Sale, Chicago White Sox – Sale has lost his last four outings, but over those starts his ERA has only climbed from 2.53 to just 2.69. He is sitting down 9.07 batters per nine innings and the southpaw is still sporting an impressive 0.97 WHIP.

Sale opens the week against the Mets, who are ranked 30th in the majors with a .228 team batting average. Look for the young lefty to frustrate the Amazings on Tuesday and begin the week with another quality start for fantasy owners.

Week 13 Starts:

6/25 @ New York Mets

6/30 vs. Cleveland Indians

19 of 21

3. Madison Bumgarner, San Francisco Giants

MadisonBumgarner
Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Madison Bumgarner, San Francisco Giants - With all the money tied up in the San Francisco’s rotation, Bumgarner has surprisingly been the best fantasy arm. The 23-year-old currently has a 3.25 ERA and a sizzling 1.01 WHIP. He will take the hill twice this week, so consider him one of the best all-around starters in Week 13.

Week 13 Starts:

6/24 @ Los Angeles Dodgers

6/30 @ Colorado Rockies

20 of 21

2. Yu Darvish, Texas Rangers

YuDarvish
Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Yu Darvish, Texas Rangers - Yu Darvish, Texas Rangers - Darvish received the extra start this week as a result of the team calling up prized pitching prospect, Martin Pérez, last week. Darvish is currently leading the majors with 137 strikeouts, which is a ridiculous 21 K’s ahead of second place. The Japanese born fireballer is also sporting a 2.84 ERA and 7-3 record. He has become an All-Star fantasy pitcher and will put up some staggering numbers in Week 13.

Week 13 Starts:

6/25 @ New York Yankees

6/30 vs. Cincinnati Reds

21 of 21

1. Cliff Lee, Philadelphia Phillies

CliffLee
Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

Cliff Lee, Philadelphia Phillies – Lee is in the middle of a resurgent fantasy season at age 34. He has a 9-2 record to go along with a 2.53 ERA and 0.95 WHIP. He will take the mound twice this week, so consider him the most dangerous pitching option in Week 13.

Week 13 Starts:

6/24 @ San Diego Padres

6/29 @ Los Angeles Dodgers
