2013 Fantasy Baseball Playoffs: Add OF Khris Davis Off Waivers

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

As the fantasy baseball playoffs kickoff this Monday, everyone will be looking for a couple hot sticks to add to their lineup for the stretch run. There are some serious players out there on the waiver wire right now, but probably the most attractive option is Milwaukee Brewers OF Khris Davis.

Davis has been an amazing fantasy find this month. He has a jaw-dropping .392 batting average in August to go along with a .467 On Base Percentage. The outfielder has clubbed six long balls this month and has even added 14 RBIs. Davis has quickly become the team’s most reliable long ball hitter and he is primed to finish the season on fire.

Davis is one of the hottest hitters to ride through the fantasy baseball playoffs. The 25-year-old is hitting everything that crosses the plate and could come up with some big hits down the stretch for fantasy owners. He may not be an elite option, but he can certainly be used as a third outfielder over the final couple weeks.

The outfielder is still available in 57% of CBS leagues and will be a very popular wavier wire pickup this week. So if this young slugger is still on the wire in your league, take a shot on him for the first round of the fantasy playoffs.
