Tennessee Titans’ Chris Johnson is Undervalued in Fantasy Football Drafts

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

If Adrian Peterson and Arian Foster are both gone from your Fantasy Football draft, the decision to choose a running back becomes very difficult. Most have been choosing Marshawn Lynch, Ray Rice or Doug Martin. I’m telling you that those choices are a mistake that could cost you the Fantasy season.

The running back that you should have for your Fantasy Football team is the Tennessee Titans’ Chris Johnson.

The Titans have a much better offensive line than they’ve had in the past, and that will play to Johnson’s strengths. He will no longer have to create his own holes every play as he had to do in previous seasons, but will be able to use the offensive line to get through the oncoming defensive line and linebackers.

After he gets to the second level, opposing defenses only hope is to run him out of bounds because there isn’t a defensive back in the NFL that is fast enough to catch him. This means big plays with big yards for your Fantasy Football team.

The only downside to Johnson being an early Fantasy Draft selection would be that he isn’t a goal line back. However, you can always pick a running back down the road who specializes in goal line situations to make up for the slack.

Most people don’t have Johnson very high on their draft board, which means that it is very likely you could get away with taking Calvin Johnson or Aaron Rodgers and take Johnson with your second pick.

This season, the NFL will see flashes of CJ2K. How can you afford not to have him on your team?
