Week 4 Fantasy Football: Start QB Tony Romo

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo hasn’t exactly been playing like an All-Pro  fantasy football quarterback this season. He has only scored six touchdowns on the year and he has yet to have a single 300-yard passing performance.

However, this is one week to start Romo no matter what. Dallas face off against the San Diego Chargers and the Bolts have not stopped anyone defensively this season. San Diego is currently dead last (340.7 yards/game) in the NFL against the pass and 28th (130 yards/game) against the run.

This is a dream matchup for Romo, especially since the quarterback is just starting to get into a rhythm with his receivers. WR Dez Bryant has a caught a touchdown pass in the last two contests and TE Jason Witten has already hauled in 16 passes through the first three games. Both players will have a field day against San Diego’s horrendous secondary and it will only help Romo pile up the fantasy points this Sunday.

Romo should be started in every format this week, because he has the best matchup of any fantasy quarterback. He should easily be able to rack up his first 300-yard passing game and two touchdowns seem almost guaranteed. If you have Romo on your roster, consider him a must start in Week 4.
