Even though Le’Veon Bell exploded onto the scene with a pair of touchdowns on Sunday, his fantasy football owners were more than likely upset at themselves…for benching him!

For some odd reason the Bell doubters were out and about this week despite the Pittsburgh Steelers opponent — the Minnesota Vikings and a weak run defense.

Either way, Bell’s two-touchdown afternoon was awesome to watch as most owners were heartbroken when the rookie running back suffered a Lisfranc foot injury in the preseason. Unfortunately, the fantasy owners who sat Bell this week won’t have a chance to redeem themselves until at least Week 6 as Pittsburgh will not play again until October 13th versus the New York Jets‘ stingy run defense.

All in all; Bell has emerged as the Steelers’ go-to running back and should be seen as a fantasy football stud from this point forward, so don;’t make the mistake of benching him again. However, you must keep an eye on Pittsburgh’s offense because if Ben Roethlisberger and company aren’t clicking then Bell’s goal-line carries will be held to a minimum.

Also, health is always going to be a topic of conversation for Bell, who has been an absolute workhorse since his collegiate days.
