The 2013 fantasy basketball season is just about underway and it is the perfect time to start going over each position. So before drafting this season, make sure to check out my positional ranking reports. Here is the first report on point guards.

5. Goran Dragic, Phoenix Suns

Position Depth:

The point guard position is extremely deep this season, as there are at least 12 quality starters. Don’t feel like you have to reach for CP3 in the first round, when you can grab Deron Williams in the second or even third round. There are plenty of options out there and this is one year you can really wait to load up on point guards.

Youth Movement:

There are more and more youngsters setting the table in the NBA. Point guards Kyrie Irving (21), Ricky Rubio (22), Damian Lillard (23), Jrue Holiday (23), Kemba Walker (23), and John Wall (23) are all under the age of 24 and they have all become fixtures atop fantasy lineups. If you are in a dynasty league, make sure to bump up their value a little more this year.
