Fantasy Football: It’s Time to Trade Benjarvus Green-Ellis

Green-Ellis

Marc Lebryk-USA TODAY Sports

If you sell stocks or if you know anything about stocks (or even if you’ve just heard about stocks) you know to sell, sell, and sell when the stock is at its highest point of value. If you are a Benjarvus Green-Ellis owner, you know that his stock in Week 6 was pretty high. You know what that means: SELL, SELL, and SELL him NOW!

All season long, all fantasy experts everywhere have said that Green-Ellis would lose his job to up and coming running back Giovani Bernard. This has been slowly happening since the beginning of the season. In Week 6, Green-Ellis had a pretty good day — 86 yards on the ground with no touchdowns. This is the week if you own him sell him as high as you can!

Let’s face it, Green-Ellis is not the fantasy football impact running back that you want to own. If you are in need of a WR2 and there is an owner who needs a running back, make this trade quickly! This trade will benefit you way more than anyone who trades you for him. Green-Ellis may have one or two good weeks for the Cincinnati Bengals the rest of the season, but that is about it. If you have depth, this is a great trade for you.

I know it’s tough for any fantasy football manager to trade away running backs since it’s the toughest position to add in free-agency. However, if you can add a solid starter and get rid of a player who will minimally help your team, do it now and be grateful that you did it when you did!
