2013 Fantasy Football Week Seven All Fantasy Team

The seventh week of fantasy football is in the books. There were some clear busts, like Adrian Peterson only putting up 56 total yards, or Trent Richardson with 37. There were some surprises, like Harry Douglas putting up 149 yards and a touchdown en route to almost 21 fantasy points. I provide for you the week seven All Fantasy Team for the seventh week top performers.

Quarterback: Andrew Luck

Andrew Luck makes his first appearance on the All Fantasy Team after going 21-38 for 228 yards, three touchdown passes along with 29 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. He outplayed the great Peyton Manning in primetime and was the highest scoring quarterback in fantasy this week.

Wide Receivers: Calvin Johnson & Vincent Jackson

Johnson was due for a big game after narrowly missing out on multiple touchdowns over the last few weeks. Megatron got it this week with nine receptions, 155 yards and two touchdowns. Any concerns about his knee injury should be put to rest at this point. Facing the Dallas Cowboys next week, Johnson is the top receiver projected for week eight.

Making his second consecutive appearance on the list, Jackson is showing owners that he is a top tier receiver regardless of who is throwing the ball. Jackson took advantage of a ridiculous 22 targets, turning them into 10 catches, 138 yards and two touchdowns. He made an incredible one handed catch on one of his touchdowns and has now posted over 23 fantasy points in consecutive games.

Running Backs: Matt Forte & Roy Helu Jr.

Despite being the second highest scoring running back in fantasy this season, Forte makes his first appearance on the All Fantasy Team this week. After Jay Cutler went down to injury, Josh McCown and Marc Trestman leaned heavily on Forte, and he delievered to the tune of 109 total yards and three touchdowns. While the fantasy values of Alshon Jeffrey and Brandon Marshall might take a hit with McCown under center, Forte’s stock could actually improve.

Helu only had 46 total yards, but three touchdowns will usually get you on this list, which is what he was able to do this weekend. Helu’s emergence came as a result of the Washington Redskins “turbo” package where he handles every down back responsibilities. He could be worth a flex look going into week eight.

Tight End: Jordan Reed

Reed has been generating buzz around fantasy land over the last few weeks, and he showed what he was capable of this week with nine receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown en route to 19.4 fantasy points. If available in your league, Reed is worth picking up as the Redskins have some favorable matchups over the next few weeks.

Kicker: Adam Vinatieri

Vinatieri ends the two week regin of Mason Crosby and was the top scoring fantasy kicker this week with 16 points. Making field goals of 27, 42 and 52 yards, Vinatieri was perfect on the night, also connecting on all four point after attempts.

Defense/Special Teams: Minnesota Vikings

This is why we play the game. Once you think you have it figured out, the game will always surprise you. After getting torched in almost all aspects of their game this season the Vikings came out and put up some points Monday night. They registered two sacks on Eli Manning, and although there were no interceptions, they could have picked off at least three passes. Marcus Sherels had an outstanding game in the special teams phase, returning four punts for 119 yards and a touchdown.
