Fantasy Football: Darren McFadden Owners Have Something To Cheer About

During every fantasy football draft that took place this year, when an owner said, “I take Darren McFadden” all of the other fantasy managers laughed, booed, and said “Good luck with him on the bench all year!”

For all of those fantasy managers that took a risk on Run DMC, I have to say you are either someone who loves to be tortured during a fantasy season, or you owned Marty McFly’s Gray’s Sports Almanac!

Many fantasy owners wanted nothing to do with McFadden. If you are someone that did not draft him, yes, Run DMC has been hurt for parts of this season. However, compared to many past seasons, he has not been as injured as he usually is by this point of the season. McFadden has also had some decent fantasy games including the game against the Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In his Week 8 matchup against the visit Pittsburgh Steelers, McFadden showed bits of the first-round pick skills that all fantasy owners and Oakland Raiders fans know that he possessed.

The major reason I believe that McFadden can still have a fairly decent fantasy football season is because of their starting quarterback, Terrelle Pryor. Pryor is one of the most athletic quarterbacks in the NFL. His running ability forces other teams’ defenses to protect against him, causing them to lose some focus on McFadden.

Whatever the case is for why McFadden is doing so well, his owners do not care. Run DMC is back for now, and if you own him in your fantasy league, enjoy it while you can. You just never know how long you will have with the fragile McFadden.
