After a player has a huge play or nice yardage in a game, fantasy managers always ask this question: Should I pick that player up for my fantasy team?
This week, many fantasy managers, especially in the deeper leagues, will ask if they should add the New Orleans Saints’ wide receiver Kenny Stills.
This is a very difficult question to ask. On the one hand, Stills has been one of those players that is very, very hit or miss. He will have one of those games where he goes deep for an over 50 yard pass completion for a touchdown, then, there will be a week that Still sees one to three targets for less than 40 yards.
Is this a player you really want to add? Look, I predicted before the season that around this week, Stills would be a player you should own. I am not saying not to own this guy, I just think you need to watch what team the Saints play to determine whether or not he is a good play for that particular week.
The Saints are a team that loves to move the ball around, ask anyone who owns Darren Sproles or Marques Colston. These players can have days that they are one of the top players at their position in fantasy football, then, they will have a day that they give their owners just a handful of points.
If you are having receiver trouble, by all means add Stills. If you have room on your bench and want to take a hunch on Stills, then I say do it. However, if you are looking for a player to change your team for the better on an every week basis, then Stills is probably not the answer for your looking at the moment.
