2013 Fantasy Hockey: RW Jaromir Jagr Still Producing

It seems that every fantasy hockey season RW Jaromir Jagr is supposed to disappear into the group of aging forwards, but it simply hasn’t happened yet.

Between the Dallas Stars and Boston Bruins last year, Jagr had another strong fantasy season. He scored 16 total goals and 19 assists between both teams in 45 games. The 12-time All-Star keeps putting up respectable point totals year after year and notoriously finds himself on first lines around the NHL.

The 41-year-old finds himself playing with the New Jersey Devils this season and he is once again putting up solid numbers for fantasy owners. He has scored a very respectable nine points through the team’s first 11 games and has been very involved in the Devils’ offense.

Jags has now extended his point-scoring streak to four straight games. Over that time he has racked up five assists, four of which have came on the power play. He has worked his way onto the top line in NJ and continues to perform well with LW Patrick Elias. The duo are both on pace to have monster seasons if they can stay healthy this season.

Jagr is one of the hottest fantasy options around the NHL at the moment and the super-veteran continues to defy the odds. He is a must-start again this year and can be an ideal third winger in any format.
