Danny Amendola and Tom Brady’s Values Rise With Return of Rob Gronkowski
In sports, there are always those players that just make the others around them that much more valuable. No matter if it is hockey, baseball, basketball, soccer or football this happens all of the time.
In Fantasy Football, when a particular player is out of the lineup, others just do not play the same as they would if that player was on the field. For the New England Patriots, this is really evident. For the first few games of the season, the Patriots’ offense was a shadow of its former self. The future Hall-of-Famer Tom Brady did not have the passing yards or touchdowns that Fantasy owners and Patriots fans are used to him having by now. The wide receivers were also struggling. Many people just thought that this was going to be an off year for the Patriots statically and yet they just kept on winning.
Then, the biggest thing happened to this team and for anyone who owns players from the New England Patriots. The team’s Pro-Bowl tight end, Rob Gronkowski returned to the lineup. This return was much anticipated and could not have come at a better time for Tom Brady, Danny Amendola or the other players on the Patriots offense.
With the return of The Gronk, the Patriots are looking as if they are going to open up the offense once again. In their Week 9 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Brady showed that he still has what it takes to win you your Fantasy Football matches. Brady threw for 432 yards and four touchdowns. Amendola, who has had his share of injury problems this season as well, had himself a great Fantasy day in Week Nine pass catching for 122 yards and a touchdown. Oh yeah, and Rob Gronkowski did pretty good too: 143 yards with a touchdown.
This trend for the Patriots will only go up. The Patriots will have a bye in Week Ten. This will help them get even healthier and better prepared for the end of the season. The Gronk is back and no one can be happier than his quarterback, his fellow pass-catchers, and all Fantasy Football owners of these guys (unless of course you went against The Gronk like I did this week! Nice win, you know who you are!).
