Fantasy Football Week 10: 5 Players Primed For Monster Performances

I don’t know about you, but I get all teary-eyed when I think about how quickly this season is flying by. How is it week 10 already? Where did the first nine go? We’re already entering the home-stretch, jousting for playoff spots and higher seeding. In just a few short weeks, the playoffs will be underway, so you better make your next few lineup decisions count.

Although I’ve already been saying it for a month, it rings a little truer each week – there’s no more room for error. Just last week, I made the wrong call on which defense to pick up and it cost me a win. All of a sudden I’m not looking so pretty anymore and the fear of missing the playoffs is becoming all too real, like it is for so many others. We have to agonize over every decision from here on out, worrying that a stupid little oversight somewhere could end up handing the fat lady her microphone.

At the end of the day, it’s nice to have players we know we can rely on; players we don’t have to think twice about. I don’t just want to spend my time tirelessly crunching numbers and trying to figure out who might give me a slight edge each week. Sometimes I just want to sit back and look at the glorious numbers that my early-round picks have produced. We all have some players on our teams whom we never have to worry or think twice about. Sometimes it’s just nice to focus on those guys for a minute and breathe easy because you know you’re about to get a big performance from them.

Here are five players whose fantasy owners can relax knowing they’re going to light it up this week:

5. T.Y. Hilton

The cat is officially out of the bag on T.Y. Hilton, who had his phenomenal coming-out party last week. With Reggie Wayne done for the season, Hilton will be Andrew Luck’s go-to every week and should be a WR1 the rest of the way. He has a terrific matchup this week so if you own him, put your feet up and enjoy.

4. Jimmy Graham

You could remove his plantar fascia completely and you still wouldn’t be able to slow down Jimmy Graham. He can’t be stopped and he’s going to demolish everyone in his way on Sunday Night Football.

3. Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson finally had the game his owners had been waiting for last week and just like that, he’s back – maybe not for good, but definitely at least this week against the league’s worst run defense. Another monster performance is guaranteed.

2. Reggie Bush

Playing a team he torched for 173 yards and a touchdown earlier in the season when they weren’t even decimated by injuries like they are now, I think it’s safe to say Reggie Bush is going to run absolutely wild this week.

1. Drew Brees

It’s impossible to get tired of watching Drew Brees carve up defense after defense each week. He’s set for another massive game on Sunday night as he takes on one of the sorriest excuses for a pass-defense that you’ll ever see.
