Over the last couple seasons, Atlanta Hawks C Al Horford has been putting up stellar fantasy basketball numbers. The former Florida star has averaged 13.7 points and 9.6 rebounds since coming into the league and has become an ideal second or third big man. This season, however, the center is putting up career numbers across the board.

Horford is posting career-highs in points (18), rebounds (10.5), blocks (2.7), and steals (2) this season. He is also adding a decent number of assists (3.2) per game. The center is currently fifth among big men in assists and is trailing only Kevin Love (4.7), Tim Duncan (3.7), Paul Millsap (3.7), and Josh McRoberts (3.7). There are not enough bigs that can add assists on a consistent basis and the extra dimes just add to Horford’s overall fantasy value. The center is truly breaking out for fantasy fans.

Horford has always been very strong from a percentage standpoint as well. He has a career field goal percentage of 53.8 % and a free throw percentage of 73.6%. His free throw percentage (56.5%) this season may be somewhat disheartening, but it should pick up as the season moves forward and he starts to get more comfortable.

Horford will continue to be a top-tier big man in all fantasy formats. He will post a double-double almost every night, and another All-Star appearance seems all but guaranteed for the six-year-pro.
