It hasn’t taken long for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to completely move past QB Josh Freeman. QB Mike Glennon has started every game since the team cut ties with Freeman and the rookie has quietly developed into a decent fantasy football option. Glennon, known as The Neck by some fans, has been extremely savvy under center despite the team’s disappointing 1-8 record.
Glennon has thrown at least one touchdown pass in every single game (nine total), while he has only thrown four interceptions. He surprisingly hasn’t had a 300-yard game yet this year, but his ability to throw touchdowns has more than made up for his mediocre yardage totals.
Glennon has a very favorable matchup this week, as Tampa faces the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have allowed 19 touchdowns through the air already this year and are currently giving up a staggering 18.6 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Even more promising, Glennon finished with 256 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions against the division rival earlier this season. This is an ideal matchup for Glennon to finally have a truly breakout fantasy performance.
Glennon won’t be a strong starter every single week, but this is one week to get the rookie in your lineup. He should be good for at least two touchdowns in Week 11 and turn in another solid effort for fantasy owners.
