Week 12 Fantasy Football Dark Horse Sleeper: WR Jarrett Boykin

A couple weeks ago, Green Bay Packers WR Jarrett Boykin was a great free agent pickup for fantasy football owners. He filled in nicely when wideouts Randall Cobb and James Jones went down with knee injuries and the unproven wideout was available in nearly every format at the time.

Since that point, though, the wideout has started to fall out of favor with some impatient owners. People are loosing faith in not only Boykin, but the Green Bay offense all together. The loss of QB Aaron Rodgers has also been hard for the offense to overcome and has forced them into the middle of the pack in the NFL.

Despite the lack of production from the offense, Boykin has played well for fantasy owners. In four of the team’s last five games, the wideout has racked up over 89 receiving yards. Even after Jones returned to the lineup, Boykin has still made plays and continued to warrant targets in the offense.

Green Bay will host the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday, which is an ideal matchup for any of the team’s wideouts. The Vikings have allowed a league-high 32 touchdown passes already and have continually been torched by opposing wideouts. Boykin should be able to get behind the defense at least once on Sunday and turn out another respectable fantasy performance.

If you are looking for a sleeper flex starter to take a shot on in Week 12, Boykin is your man.
