Week 12 Fantasy Football IDP: Defensive Line Sleepers

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Each week of the fantasy football season, there are plenty of sleeper articles out there for offensive players. However, there are never enough IDP sleepers. So to help set your final lineup in IDP leagues, here are some fantasy sleepers on the defensive line for Week 12.

DL Lamarr Houston, Oakland Raiders – Since Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker has been shutdown for the year with a foot injury, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick will be the team’s main signal caller for the remainder of the season. The Amish Riffle has always had problems standing in the pocket and it is only a matter of time until Oakland starts to get to the mediocre quarterback. Houston has two sacks over his last four games and is now leading the team in this category, so the d-lineman should be playing with a little extra confidence this Sunday. Houston should rack up at least five hits this week and a sack wouldn’t be too far fetched.

DL Antonio Smith, Houston Texans – Jacksonville has allowed 12 sacks over the last five games and this could be a perfect week for Houston’s defense to get back on track. Smith has posted at least three tackles in three straight contests and the veteran even recorded two sacks against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9. He will be a great sleeper to get active this week against an embarrassing Jacksonville squad.

DL Arthur Jones, Baltimore Ravens – The New York Jets face the Ravens this week and Baltimore gets a chance to feast on QB Geno Smith. The rookie quarterback was sacked a jaw-dropping 13 times over the past four games, so Jones should have no problem getting to the young signal caller on Sunday. If you need a sleeper defensive lineman this week, take a chance on Jones.
