Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Should You Add Daniel Thomas?

As all fantasy football owners do, we look for players every week that blow up so that we can add them to our teams’ depth charts. The running back position is by far the most sought after position in these regards.

In Week 14, Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas had a great game. At the beginning of the game, it was not believed that Thomas would even play. In the snowy weather against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Thomas had a “where did that come from” game. He was the featured back, so to say, and had nine carries for 39 yards and a touchdown. For many people, this game was not an eye popping game for many backs. However, this game was one of the best that Thomas had this season.

If you are looking for a running back and think Thomas may be that guy for you, I say to you, look elsewhere; Thomas is definitely not someone you should add on your team.

Look, it is always nice to pick up that “up and coming” running back, but Thomas is not one of them. In the games to come for the Dolphins, the team will take on the New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills. These are not the teams that you want a running back you are going to try out to be facing. If you are in your league’s playoffs, then experimenting with running backs is not exactly something you should be doing anyway.

All and all, the bottom line is that Daniel Thomas is not a running back to add to your fantasy football team, and you can forget about him for the rest of the season.
