Week 7 Fantasy Basketball Notes

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

This past week was rather eventful for fantasy basketball owners, and for once, there wasn’t a ton of injuries around the league. So before moving onto to Week 7 of the fantasy season, here is a quick look back at last week’s action.

Hot Hands:

PF Kevin Love, Minnesota Timberwolves – Love is obviously one of the best in the game but his performance this past week was jaw-dropping. In four games, Love averaged 31 points, 13.5 rebounds, and an astonishing 4.3 three-pointers per contest.

C Robin Lopez, Phoenix Suns – Lopez averaged 9.3 rebounds last week, along with 13.8 points, 1.8 blocks. He also shot 67.7 % from the field. Lopez has been an amazing find on the waiver wire this season.

PG Isaiah Thomas, Sacramento Kings – Thomas quickly showed the Kings what he could do with the full control of point guard duties. IT averaged 23 points in the team’s four games this past week, while adding 29 assists, 23 rebounds, and nine three-pointers.

SG Tony Wroten, Philadelphia 76ers – Wroten once again filled in nicely for PG Michael Carter-Williams this past week. Wroten scored just nine points on Monday, but averaged 20.3 points per game in the next three games. He also posted 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists over his four games this past scoring period.

Injury Bug:

PG Michael Carter-Williams, Philadelphia 76ers – MCW will miss his seventh straight game on Monday with a skin infection. He could return for the team’s next game, but that isn’t until Friday.

PG Rajon Rondo, Boston Celtics – Rondo has been cleared to resume full-contact practice and reports have him returning to action early next month.

PF Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks – Dirk missed Saturday’s game with an illness. He should be able to return this week, though.
