Week 16 Fantasy Football IDP Sleepers: Defensive Line

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Each week of the fantasy football season, there are plenty of sleeper articles out there for offensive players. However, there are never enough IDP sleepers. So to help set your final lineup in IDP leagues, here are some fantasy IDP sleepers on the defensive line for Week 16.

DL Mario Williams, Buffalo Bills – Super Mario has 11 sacks on the year, but the fact that he has only racked up one sack in his last six games has caused people to start to lose faith in him. This week, though, Mario gets to attack Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill, who has been sacked a league-high 51 sacks this season. Williams also sacked Tannehill twice earlier in the year and the former first overall pick should be able to get to the quarterback at least once in Week 16.

DL Adrian Clayborn, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Clayborn has racked up 21 tackles over his last five games, including two sacks and six tackles for loss. Tampa faces a St. Louis Rams squad that has had problems at the quarterback position even since Sam Bradford went down for the year and Clayborn will be very active again this weekend.

DL Jabaal Sheard, Cleveland Browns – Sheard has quietly racked up a sack in three straight games. He will get to face off against New York Jets QB Geno Smith, whose 43 sacks this year is the second highest total in the league.  Sheard has really come on lately in IDP formats and will be a great sleeper to take a chance on in the fantasy finals.
