Week 17 Fantasy Football IDP Sleepers: Defensive Line

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Each week of the fantasy football season, there are plenty of sleeper articles out there for offensive players. However, there are never enough IDP sleepers. So to help set your final lineup in IDP leagues, here are some fantasy IDP sleepers on the defensive line for Week 17.

DL Carlos Dunlap, Cincinnati Bengals – In Week 10, Dunlap racked up two sacks with five hits against the Baltimore Ravens. The division foes will face off again this Sunday, so fantasy fans can expect to see Dunlap get after QB Joe Flacco all afternoon. Dunlap likely won’t have another two-sack performance, but I fully expect him to at least rack up one sack in the regular season finale.

DL Quinton Coples, New York Jets – The Jets face the Miami Dolphins this week and that makes everyone on New York’s defense a strong start. Miami QB Ryan Tannehill has been sacked a league-high 58 times this season and the second-year quarterback has had to play without the majority of his offensive line in recent weeks. Coples is really hot right now, as he has racked up 3.5 sacks in the last four games, so fantasy fans shouldn’t be afraid to plus in the defensive end. The former first round pick should have no problem getting to Tannehill at least once this Sunday.

DL Derrick Morgan, Tennessee Titans – Morgan has quietly racked up five sacks this season. He faces off against a depleted Houston Texans team this week, which is promising considering that he racked up a sack against the division rival in Week 2. Morgan may not be a reliable IDP option week after week, but this is one week to take a shot on SSA Morgan.
