Fantasy Basketball: PF LaMarcus Aldridge Posting Career Numbers

Craig Mitchelldyer-USA TODAY Sports

In recent fantasy basketball seasons, one of the most reliable big men has been PF LaMarcus Aldridge of the Portland Trail Blazers. He has averaged at least 20 points with eight rebounds over the previous three seasons and he has become one of the most popular big men in fantasy.

This season, though, Aldridge has put up even better all-around fantasy numbers. The All-Star forward is currently posting career-highs in points per game (23.6), rebounds (10.9), and assists (2.9).  He has played like a man possessed this year and continues to put up elite fantasy night after night.

Even better, Aldridge is shooting an impressive 80.1% from the charity stripe. Most big men struggle to hit 65 % of their free throws nowadays, but Aldridge continues to be a reliable option from the line. In roto-leagues, having a big man that can knock down free throws is critical and Aldridge is one player that carries his weight from the line.

PG Damian Lillard has helped Rip City improve their offense and the point guard has built a strong rapport with Aldridge. They have mastered the art of the pick-and-roll and Aldridge’s comfort in the offense has allowed him to knock down plenty of jumpers.

Aldridge will grab around 10 boards each game and will be good for around 20-plus points as well. He playing better than he ever has and the two-time All-Star seems primed to finish with career numbers across the board.
