Fantasy Football: Peyton Manning Just Won Playoff Challenges for Owners
For many people that played fantasy football this season, Peyton Manning came through and probably either got your team to the fantasy football playoffs, to the championship, or won the league outright for you.
If you were a person that enjoys playing the playoff versions of fantasy football, then you may have thought that it was a good idea to waste a first-round quarterback in order to get more points for Manning. If you went this route, you made a great decision. Even if your league does permit you to change your players at will, Manning was still the guy!
In his AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots, he not only led his Denver Broncos to victory and one step closer to winning the Super Bowl for the second time in his career, but also had a great fantasy football day. Manning passed for 400 yards in the game with two touchdowns — and the 400 yards was not the most impressive part.
Manning, who has been labeled as a QB who turns the ball over in big games like this, did not throw one interception the entire game. Manning led long drives and kept Tom Brady off of the field. This crushed any hopes for the Patriots and any owner who played Brady over Manning this week to win their playoff fantasy games.
Manning had a heck of a fantasy season for his owners, and he decided to give his owners one more big performance in the AFC Championship Game!
