So far in the 2013-14 fantasy basketball season, there has been a record number of injuries. Big names like Derrick Rose, Brook Lopez, Al Horford, and Russell Westbrook are just a handful of the players that have been forced to shut it down for the remainder of the season due to injury. This past week was no different, as once again a couple superstars ended up on the sideline during some games. So to help you get caught up to speed, here is the Week 19 fantasy basketball injury report.
PG Tony Parker, San Antonio Spurs – Parker has been dealing with back issues recently and it caused him to miss Thursday’s game. Back injuries tend to linger, especially in 31-year-old guards. Fantasy fans should anticipate that Parker will miss some more games down the stretch.
PG Steve Nash, Los Angeles Lakers – Nash injured his knee on Sunday when he collided with Chicago Bulls PG Kirk Hinrich. The veteran missed the rest of the game, but he seems hopeful to be back on the court to practice on Monday. Either way, Nash isn’t going to have much value this year.
SG J.J. Redick, Los Angeles Clippers – Redick has missed the past three games with several injuries. He missed the first two games with back spasms and was forced to sit out the third game due to a hip injury. Neither injury will likely keep him out very long, but he may miss another game or two in the upcoming game.
