Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire: C Chris Kaman

Andrew Richardson-USA TODAY Sports

Fresh off the heels of a 25-point/14-rebound performance, Los Angeles Lakers C Chris Kaman will obviously be a very popular fantasy basketball waiver wire addition this week. He was previously written off in the majority of fantasy formats, but his recent hot-streak has quickly made him fantasy relevant again.

Kaman has scored double-digit points in four straight games and the center has now averaged 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks over the last two games alone. He has even shot an impressive 51.9% (24-47) from the field over the two-game stretch and the seven-footer has been extra aggressive off the dribble.

Kaman has been receiving more and more playing time as of late and has played a jaw-droping 37 minutes on Tuesday night. The veteran has taken over the starting center spot in LA over Robert Sacre, and as a result,  Kaman has quietly started to put up fantasy low-end starters. He will be a walking double-double with a steady dose of minutes.

Kaman has been mentioned in numerous trade rumors, like everyone on LA’s roster, but he hasn’t allowed him to rattle him. Kaman has kept his head and continued to go work night after night.

Kaman is shockingly owned in just over 13% (13.8%) of ESPN formats and can be a great backup big man. So if the Ka-ve-man is still on the wire in your league, it is about time someone picked him up.
