It is no secret that the Milwaukee Bucks are one of the worst teams in basketball. They are currently dead last in the NBA with 9-43 and have one of the thinnest backcourts in all of basketball. Despite the lack of talent, though, PG Brandon Knight has continued to put up respectable fantasy basketball numbers on a nightly basis.
Knight is shooting the ball 14.3 times per game, and while his field goal percentage (41.2) leaves something to be desired, the one-guard has started to heat up this month. In February alone, Knight has averaged 21.6 points, 6.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds. He has also knocked down shots from behind the arc by hitting 2.4 triples per game. The point guard has now scored double-digit points in eight consecutive games and Knight is suddenly producing like an All-Star.
He also played an astonishing 40.8 minutes over this stretch. Head coach Larry Drew seems content to let his second-year guard play as many minutes as he wants. The team has nothing to lose at this point in the year, so it only makes sense to keep your most talented player active, and more importantly, happy.
Knight will be a decent PG3 to count on down the stretch. He is really finding his groove out there on the floor and the guard should be good for 15-6 the rest of the way.
