Fantasy Basketball: SG Jamal Crawford Still An Underrated Scorer

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Clippers are absolutely filling up the stat sheets recently. They have averaged 113.3 points over the last 10 games and have been carrying fantasy basketball owners across the board.

Probably the most underrated fantasy contributor on the team in recent weeks has been veteran shooting guard, Jamal Crawford.

For instance, Crawford has shockingly averaged 23.5 points over his last 15 contests. The veteran has gone over 18 points in all but one contest and has put together two 30-point efforts over the stretch. Crawford has really become one of the hottest scorers in fantasy right now.

Crawford has done more than drop buckets during his hot-streak, though. Crawford has averaged 4.2 assists with 2.5 rebounds during the 15-game streak and has truly become a five-category contributor for fantasy fans. He has also been outstanding from behind the arc. Crawford has averaged 2.6 triples per game and been a serious threat from the perimeter.

Most thought Crawford would see a drastic decrease in production once PG Chris Paul returned from his shoulder injury, but the two-guard has continued to rack up points. Starting shooting guard, J.J. Redick, has also missed four straight games due to back/hip injuries and the setback has allowed Crawford to step up for fantasy owners.

Crawford will show up every single night, regardless of whether he is in the starting lineup or has to come off the bench. He will constantly post double-digit points and Crawford is impossible to bench when he is so hot.
