Fantasy Football: Predicting The 5 Highest-Scoring Players For Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles

Heading into the offseason, the most uncertainty around a wide receiver returning to the Philadelphia Eagles involved Jeremy Maclin. Now, DeSean Jackson may find a new home for the 2014 season. If Jackson doesn't return, it is crucial to know who will be the biggest beneficiary of Chip Kelly's playbook.

Here are my predictions for the five highest-scoring players for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2014 fantasy football season.

5. Darren Sproles

I was torn between Zach Ertz and Darren Sproles for this spot. Ertz will be a big part of the offense, but Sproles is more valuable because of his rushing and pass-catching ability. Kelly will find ways to get Sproles into the end zone.

4. Riley Cooper

Riley Cooper finished just outside of the top-20 wide receivers in standard scoring leagues in 2013, and he showcased nice rapport with Nick Foles in several games. Although Cooper was sporadic in his fantasy football scoring, he should find more consistency in this explosive offense.

3. Jeremy Maclin

If DeSean Jackson leaves Philadelphia, Jeremy Maclin is automatically the top receiver on the team. Maclin's best season was in 2010 when he caught 10 touchdowns and totaled 964 receiving yards, and he has the ability to produce similar results in 2014.

2. LeSean McCoy

LeSean McCoy will not only be one of the highest-scoring players on the Philadelphia Eagles, but he could end up as the highest-scoring running back in the 2014 fantasy football season. With 1,607 rushing yards, nine rushing touchdowns and 539 receiving yards in 2013, McCoy is geared up for another big year.

1. Nick Foles

If Nick Foles can play an entire season, he has the ability to finish as a top-five quarterback. Foles had 27 touchdown passes and only two interceptions in 2013, and he is still completely underrated for some reason. The signal caller for the Eagles will find himself competing with Drew Brees and Peyton Manning for the honor of being the highest-scoring quarterback in the 2014 fantasy season.
