The fantasy baseball season may have just kicked off, but countless players have already been placed on the disabled list. While injuries happens every year, this may be one of the most injury-riddled starts in recent history.

Here are some of the main players that have already hit the DL this fantasy season. Forewarning, it gets pretty ugly.

Catcher: Wilson Ramos, Devin Mesoraco

First Base: Mark Teixeira

Second Base: Jurickson Profar, Marcus Scutaro

Shortstop: Jose Reyes, Jose Iglesias

Third Base: Manny Machado, Will Middlebrooks

Outfield: Shane Victorino, Matt Kemp, Michael Bourn

Starting Pitcher: Yu Darvish, Clayton Kershaw, Cole Hamels, Mat Latos, Patrick Corbin, Taijuan Walker, Hisashi Iwaukama, Jarrod Parker, Jeff Locke, Kris Medlen, Brandon Beachy, Doug Fister, Jonathan Niese, A.J. Griffin, Matt Harrison, Derek Holland, Jamie Garcia, Jeremy Hellickson

Closer: Aroldis Chapman, David Robertson, Bobby Parnell, Casey Janssen, Brian Wilson, Bruce Rondon, Jonathan Broxton

Almost every fantasy owner has a handful of stars on the shelf right now and it appears to be a fantasy epidemic. It seems that everyday another All-Star is being placed on the DL and it has caused several owners to max out their DL spots before Week 3 of the fantasy season.

Unfortunately, injuries are apart of the game. There are still over 150 games left in the season and there will only be more injuries to come, so be ready.
