With the MLB season just underway, fantasy baseball owners everywhere are scrambling to set lineups each day and always keeping an eye out for the top free agents at each position. Even if you're just a fan of baseball and don't participate in fantasy, you are likely curious as to who the top performers are for each week of play at each position.

That's where I come in. Let's take a look at the top 10 catches from week 2 of fantasy baseball.

The Cleveland Indians are looking to make it back to the playoffs and Yan Gomes will be a major piece to the puzzle if that does happen. If only he could get Carlos Santana out of his slump as well.

Week 2 stats: .316 AVG, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 4 Runs, .435 OBP

9. Wellington Castillo, Chicago Cubs

The Cubs are, unsurprisingly, tied for last place in the NL Central, but they still have had a lot to be excited about. Emilio Bonifacio has been killing it and Wellington Castillo has also been a pleasant surprise.

Week 2 stats: .316 AVG, 1 HR, 5 RBI, 1 Run, .381 OBP

8. Joe Mauer, Minnesota Twins

Joe Mauer is a model of consistency for the Minnesota Twins. Can anyone remember a time when the veteran catcher/first baseman didn't produce at a high level. There is a reason he is one of the top catchers in baseball -- even though he switches in at first base as well.

Week 2 stats: .333 AVG, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 2 Runs, 1 SB, .391 OBP

7. Miguel Montero, Arizona Diamondbacks

The Arizona Diamondbacks may have the worst record in the majors right now, 4-12, but they still have solid pieces in place for future contention. I would be shocked if they were still near the bottom of MLB in a month's time.

Week 2 stats: .400 AVG, 0 HR, 7 RBI, 1 Run, .400 OBP

6. Matt Wieters, Baltimore Orioles

Matt Wieters was an early selection at catcher in many fantasy drafts as he has the ability to hit for contact as well as power. The veteran catcher's production is nothing to look past.

Week 2 stats: .333 AVG, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 5 Runs, .406 OBP

5. Evan Gattis, Atlanta Braves

The legend of Evan Gattis is growing in Atlanta. Many people have become fans of the rising star and his power/production are second to none -- most of the time. According to ESPN, 27 percent of fantasy leagues still gave him as a free agent -- pick him up now.

Week 2 stats: .381 AVG, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 4 Runs, .381 OBP

Russell Martin is seemingly on his way back up even though he is getting up there in age. Don't be afraid to pick up this veteran catcher if you're looking for some solid backup help.

Week 2 stats: .333 AVG, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 5 Runs, .350 OBP

3. A.J. Pierzynski, Boston Red Sox

A.J. Pierzynski has been playing much better than many expected him to play this season for the Red Sox. While he seems to be on a new team every year, he may have found his home for the remainder of his career.

Week 2 stats: .400 AVG, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 3 Runs, .438 OBP

2. Yadier Molina, St. Louis Cardinals

Yadier Molina is quietly the best hitting catcher in the bigs these days. It seems like Yadier is always at the top of average categories and most other offensive categories for catchers. If you have him, you're in luck.

Week 2 stats: .500 AVG, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 5 Runs, .524 OBP

Devin Mesoraco is now on everyone's radar after a stellar week two performance. Mesoraco is a name that will become more known in the coming weeks if he keeps up his play.

Week 2 stats: .471 AVG, 3 HR, 7 RBI, 4 Runs, .500 OBP
