Starting pitching is something you should always focus on when filling out your daily fantasy baseball lineups, even more so on Wednesday as there is an overall lack of reliable hitter/pitcher matchup data in the early games. With that said, I have been able to identify a handful of hitters you should be able to count on.

Honestly, I am not a huge fan of any San Francisco Giants sluggers on Wednesday. Following a stint on the DL, Colorado Rockies SP Tyler Chatwood has looked good, leading the club with a solid 2.77 ERA. That said, the switch-hitting Panda has had some success against the righty.

5-for-12, .417 AVG, .417 OBP, .917 SLG, 2 HR, 4 RBI

Has there been a hotter hitter thus far in baseball than Colorado Rockies OF Charlie Blackmon? Not only has he been a consistent contact hitter, he is showing power from the plate and speed on the bases, adding HRs and SBs to his stat line.

4-for-9, .444 AVG, .500 OBP, .556 SLG, 1 2B, 1 SB

Oakland Athletics slugger Yoenis Cespedes has been swinging the bat well taking advantage of plate appearances boasting a current .833 OPS. On Wednesday, the right-handed slugger faces Texas Rangers lefty Martin Perez.

4-for-9, .444 AVG, .444 OBP, .778 SLG, 1 2B, 1 3B

Dexter Fowler has been one of the few bright spots in the Houston Astros' dismal 2014 campaign. If he is able to get on base, he is always a candidate to swipe a bag or two. On Wednesday, he draws a favorable matchup versus Seattle Mariners SP Chris Young.

3-for-7, .429 AVG, .556 OBP, .429 SLG, 1 RBI

If they aren't the best team in baseball, the Oakland Athletics are easily one of them. Coco Crisp is the leadoff man in an explosive A's lineup. On Wednesday, he the Rangers' lefty Perez. Crisp is another daily candidate for bag-swiping.

5-for-13, .385 AVG, .385 OBP, .538 SLG, 2 2B, 1 RBI

To this point of today's list, there has not been a good sample size for the matchups. That is not the case with Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki. In his career, Tulo has lit Giants hurler Matt Cain up regularly. That trend should continue on Wednesday, so start with confidence.

19-for-60, .317 AVG, .373 OBP, .633 SLG, 5 2B, 1 3B, 4 HR, 7 RBI
