One of the best ways to rack up pitching points in fantasy baseball leagues is to start a pitcher that will make two starts in a given scoring period. It allows a hurler to rack up innings/strikeouts and helps fantasy owners rack up extra points in the process. To help you set your rotation this week, here are 10 of the best two-start options to take advantage of Week 8.

10. Wily Peralta, Tampa Bay Rays

Peralta is yet another young pitcher not getting much attention. However, the 25-year-old has an impressive 4-2 record to go along with a sizzling 2.05 ERA. He has pitched into the seventh inning in three of his last four starts and should easily throw over 12 innings with the extra start this week.

Week 8 Starts: (5/19 @ ATL) (5/24 @MIA)

9. A.J. Burnett, Philadelphia Phillies

Burnett has been quietly efficient this season. His 3.13 ERA is the lowest of his career and the veteran continues to pitch deep into games (103.2 P/GS). Burnett will be knocked around a little and he will give up some runs, but the extra trip to the hill will still make him worth a spot as a SP4 this week.

Week 8 Starts: (5/20 @ MIA) (5/25 vs. LAD)

8. Mike Minor, Atlanta Braves

Minor has only made three starts this year, but he was throwing bullets during his most recent start. Minor pitched 6.2 scoreless innings while giving up just three hits and striking out six batters. He will be worth a look this week with the extra trip to the bump.

Week 8 Starts: (5/19 vs. MIL) (5/25 vs. COL)

7. Garrett Richards, Los Angeles Angels

Richards has a flawless 4-0 record this season to go along with a sizzling 2.42 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. He has also been a reliable source of K’s, as he has struck out 54 batters in 52 innings of work. The right-hander should be able to rack up 10-plus K's this week with over 12 innings.

Week 8 Starts: (5/19 vs. HOU) (5/25 vs. KC)

6. Ian Kennedy, San Diego Padres

Kennedy has been rather erratic through the 2014 season. He has allowed three earned runs or more in five starts, while also allowing one earned run or less in four starts. However, the veteran has two very winnable matchups this week and he should be able to cruise through both games. So if you have been sitting on Kennedy all year, this is the time to get the veteran active.

Week 8 Starts: (5/20 vs. MIN) (5/25 vs. CHC)

5. Josh Beckett, Los Angeles Dodgers

Beckett continues to surprise this fantasy season. Through seven starts, Beckett has a glimmering 2.38 ERA and an even more impressive 1.06 WHIP. He may not have much long-term value anymore, but he will be worth activating this week with two starts against subpar teams.

Week 8 Starts: (5/20 @ NYM) (5/24 @ PHI)

4. Corey Kluber, Cleveland Indians

Kluber has shockingly struck out 47 batters in the last 35.1 innings of work. He is 3-1 over this stretch and has matured into a reliable weekly starter. Kluber will be one of the most underrated two-start options to take advantage of this scoring period.

Week 8 Starts: (5/19 vs. DET) (5/24 @ BAL)

3. Yovani Gallardo, Milwaukee Brewers

Gallardo has been living off ground balls in recent weeks. He induced 60 ground balls over the last five games compared to just 43 fly ball outs. Gallardo fortunately faces a Miami team that is third in the league with 384 strikeouts and an Atlanta team that is sixth with 364 strikeouts. He should easily rack up double-digit K’s this week.

Week 8 Starts: (5/20 @ ATL) (5/25 @ MIA)

2. Hisashi Iwakuma, Seattle Mariners

After a rough 2014 debut (4 ERs), Iwakuma has settled in nicely over his last two trips to the mound. The veteran has now posted back-to-back eight-inning shutouts, while striking out 12 and walking none. The right-hander is a must-start this week and should easily throw over 12 innings with the extra trip to the bump.

Week 8 Starts: (5/20 @ TEX) (5/25 vs. HOU)

1. Yordano Ventura, Kansas City Royals

Ventura was a popular sleeper this off-season and the young fireballer certainly hasn’t disappointed so far this season. The 22-year-old currently owns a 2.40 ERA and has struck out 53 batters through 48.2 innings of work. His fastball has averaged 96.7 MPH and is one of the deadliest pitches in the game. Ventura will once again shine this week with the extra start.
