For any fantasy team, starting the right players is unsurprisingly the key to success. This is especially true in the immensely popular daily leagues, where one player can mean the difference between a big payday and massive disappointment. Based on matchups and talent, the following five players could all be in for a very solid day on May 26 and deserve your utmost consideration.

The career season continues for Brantley as he now has at least one hit in 22 of his last 23 games. He's having a May to remember, and will look to keep his bat hot today. The Chicago White Sox and lefty Jose Quintana will be his opponent this afternoon, and though Brantley is typically a better hitter against right-handed pitching, he has a .462 average including a HR and two doubles in 13 at-bats off Quintana.

He may be underachieving a bit in 2014, but this guy has really picked his game up of late. He's raised his average 34 points since May 3, and has scored nine runs in his last seven games. Andrus should get even more practice on his run-scoring skills today when he takes on Kevin Correia and the Minnesota Twins. Correia has been beyond awful this year with a 6.52 ERA and 1.57 WHIP.

3. C, Jonathan Lucroy: Milwaukee Brewers

This catcher's bat continues to sizzle like bacon as his average sits at .457 over his last nine games. He's clearly been enjoying his new clean-up spot for the Brew Crew, and has a good shot at another strong showing on this fine Monday. The Brewers will square off against Chris Tillman and the Baltimore Orioles today, and Tillman has really struggled of late with a 6.23 ERA in his last seven starts.

There were no signs of rust after a three-and-a-half week DL stint, as Ryu returned with a dominating performance vs. the New York Mets. In six of his eight starts this year, he's allowed two earned runs or fewer, and I think the lefty will make it seven out of nine today. He gets the Cincinnati Reds at home, and not only do they rank just 28th in baseball at 3.50 runs scored per game, but they score even less than that in road games (3.33).

This perennial All-Star has been absolutely murdering the ball of late as he's hitting .379 since May 2. It's a shame he hits on such a weak offense since he's only been able to manage 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored in that span despite his 36 hits. Hopefully he can turn some of those base knocks into runs today when the Mets take on the Pittsburgh Pirates. Pirates starter Brandon Cumpton has a 4.26 ERA in his two starts this season.
