Fantasy owners have taken notice to a certain outfielder who is putting up great numbers for a low price. The Miami Marlins center fielder Marcell Ozuna has been playing great in recent weeks and should be owned in all leagues.

He is hitting the ball well, posting a .271/.317/.452 slash line in 61 games. He has crushed 11 home runs and 39 RBI so far. In 70 games last season, he hit just three home runs with 32 RBI. I’m not sure where the increased power came from, but he will do wonders for fantasy owners playing in rotisserie leagues.

However, there is a downside with Ozuna. He does not have the greatest plate discipline. In his last 20 games, he is hitting .297 with five homers and 17 RBI. The biggest number is his 24 strikeouts. He has a total of 62 strikeouts this season. I wound’t be surprised if he reaches 150 strikeouts when the season is over.

Despite the high strikeout totals, fantasy owners are all-in with Ozuna. He is currently owned in 94.9 percent of ESPN.com leagues. There has been a jump of 23.8 percent in the last couple of weeks. If he is available in your league, you should take a chance on Ozuna. He is ranked as a fourth outfielder in standard leagues.

Yet, with his power potential, he deserves to have a high ownership percentage. If you need power and can afford to take a hit in average, Ozuna is your guy to target off of the waiver wire.
