Many pros will be taking this event off following last week's U.S. Open, but there will be enough golfers to make it interesting. To help you pick your fantasy foursome, here are the top-20 fantasy golfers for the 2014 Travelers Championship.
English has hit a bit of a rough patch, as he has missed the cut in four of his last seven tournaments. He will be a very risky option this week.
De Jonge tied for eighth here in 2012 and the heavy-hitter knows how to let it fly in Cromwell. Consider him a top-20 option this week.
Chappell has placed 11th at the Wells Fargo, 26th at PLAYERS, and 10th at the Crowne Plaza invitational. He is heating up this spring and will be a great second golfer to grab this week.
Appleby recorded a T9 here in 2013, T18 in 2012, and T27 in 2010. The veteran won’t be worth grabbing each week, but this is one tournament to take a shot on the 43-year-old.
Hoffman quietly has four top-17 finishes on the year. He posted a T9 here last year and the 24-year-old will once again be flying under the radar this week.
Johnson has only missed the cut once this entire season (17 events) and eight top-20 finishes. He currently ranks fifth on the tour in Driving Accuracy (70.3%) and will abuse the fairways of the TPC River Highlands.
The 24-year-old has quietly emerged as a great sleeper. Koepka has three top-21 finishes in his last four tournaments alone.
Bradley has participated in this event three times and is coming off a career-best T18 in 2013. He enters the week following an impressive T4 at Pinehurst and Keegs will be a dark horse to look for this week.
Stroud placed second here in 2013 and tied for seventh in back in 2011. He will be worth a top-15 selection this week in CT.
DeLaet had the 54-hole lead at TPC River Highlands last season, but he ended up settling for a third place finish. The Canadian is first on the tour in Greens Hit in Regulation (72.0%) and will be a fairly safe bet this week.
Despite his disappointing T35 at the U.S. Open, Garcia still has 10 top-20 finishes worldwide this year.
Mahan won this event all the way back in 2007, but he is still the all-time money leader at Cromwell and shot a 61 in the final round in 2011. This is the one tournament to reach for the aging veteran.
Jacobson won in it in 2011, tied for eighth in 2012, and tied for 30th in 2013. The veteran seems to always show up at Cromwell.
Hoffman posted a T7 here in 2013 and a T2 in 2012, so consider him a low-end first golfer this weekend.
Snedeker shocked the world with a T9 last week at the U.S. Open. He seems to over his long slump and ready to racking up top-20's again.
Moore shockingly has five top-15 finishes at TPC River Highlands, including a T7 in 2013. He will be a reliable top-10 pick this weekend in Connecticut.
Day showed he is finally over that nagging thumb injury by placing fourth at the U.S. Open last week. Look for him to add another top-10 this week in Connecticut.
Johnson is currently second on the tour in Driving Distance (311.8 yards/drive), ninth in putting (1.733), and 18th in Greens Hit in Regulation (68.2%). He will be worth a top pick any time he is in the field.
Kuchar has 13 top-20’s on the year, including nine top-10’s. He has become the safest golfer in fantasy and will be one of the top options off the board in Connecticut.
Watson has four top-six finishes at Cromwell, including a win back in 2010. Bubba will once again be the number one option to roll with this week.
