Fantasy football owners found a lot of suitable options on the Cincinnati Bengals' roster last year, with multiple players setting career-highs in one or more categories.
A change in offensive scheme is coming with Hue Jackson taking over as offensive coordinator for the departed Jay Gruden, but here are five Bengals that need to be on fantasy teams this year.
Eifert should get an opportunity to usurp Jermaine Gresham as Cincinnati's No. 1 tight end, and his size (6'6", 250 lbs.) makes him a viable red zone target for Andy Dalton. Eifert is worth a late-round flier as a TE2.
Jones' touchdown total last year (10) was skewed by a four-touchdown game, but he had 51 catches for 712 yards and his role increased late in the season with production that followed suit (27 catches for 374 yards and three touchdowns over the final five games, including the playoffs). He is in line to start opposite A.J. Green, which means plenty of single coverage and fantasy upside as a WR3 or WR4.
Dalton is unlikely to throw the ball as much as he did last year (586 times; eighth-most in the league), so his career-high touchdown total (33) is likely to come down some too. But if he turns the ball over less after throwing 20 interceptions last year, Dalton will still be a serviceable QB2 with solid talent around him.
Green's past two seasons have basically been carbon copies of each other, with one more catch and 76 more yards in 2013 and 11 touchdowns each season. He is the clear-cut No. 1 target for Dalton, and a top-five wide receiver for fantasy owners again this year.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis had 50 more carries than Bernard last year, but that looks likely to change dramatically this year. More than 300 touches looks certain for the second-year back, and he has RB1 upside in PPR leagues.
