After a crushing defeat in the NFC Championship Game, the 49ers will be bringing back another very talented squad. The offense has been bolstered with some new names, and their always stout defense seems poised to once again make opposing QBs cry to their mommies. With elite teams comes plenty of fantasy potential, so let's take a look at the five best fantasy prospects the 49ers have to offer in 2014.

5. WR - Michael Crabtree

As we saw in 2012, Crabtree can be a beast on offense when healthy. With the addition of Stevie Johnson to go along with Anquan Boldin and Vernon Davis, the receiving corps in San Fran is very strong, meaning double-teams should be scarce. If he can stay on the field, a big season could be in store for the former 10th overall pick, and he makes for a possible steal in the 5th round or later in drafts.

The NFL's No. 3 scoring defense last year was also fantasy's 6th highest scoring D/ST. The Niners held opponents to just 17.0 points per game last season and also piled on the fantasy points with 18 interceptions and five defensive TDs. It won't be an easy road considering they'll play nine games against top-10 offenses from last year, but few D/STs will likely outscore them in 2014.

3. RB - Frank Gore

Though a drop in carries was expected last season, Gore actually ended up with 18 more than in 2012. It took a toll on him, though, as his YPC dropped from 4.23 to 3.64 after the team's Week 9 bye. There will supposedly be a three-back rotation this year in San Fran, and that's actually good news for Gore. Fewer touches should mean more productive touches and better results for the centerpiece and goal-line back of that rotation.

Kaepernick is coming off a dynamic 2013 season which saw him throw for 200 YPG with 21 TDs and just eight picks, plus he chipped in another 524 yards on the ground with four TDs. He may not be one of the elites at the position, but he certainly has the potential to be. Considering you can probably scoop him up in the 9th round or later, he could make for the steal of your draft.

1. TE - Vernon Davis

The tight end position really isn't all that deep this season, and you would be wise to grab an elite player early in drafts. Davis was second to just Jimmy Graham in fantasy points last season among TEs and was T-3rd among all receivers with 13 TDs. If the 49ers receiving corps stay healthy all year a slip in production is possible, but that's probably a pipe dream in the NFL these days.
