The United States survived the Group of Death and advanced to the Round of 16. To help you fantasy fans with a love of country, here are the top-five fantasy players on the US team for the Knockout Stage.
Bradley has severely disappointed so far in the Cup. He has had several very poor first-touches and he has not anchored the middle of this team like he was supposed to. Luckily, he has a chance to redeem himself in the Knockout Stage against a very young Belgium midfield. Bradley’s veteran experience should help him get past his little slump and start filling the box score again.
Jones scored a beautiful goal against Portugal and it would have been the game-winner if it wasn’t for a last second cross from Ronaldo to net the tying goal. Jones is a fierce attacking player and he is not afraid to abandon him mark to make a run. The dreadlocked midfielder will be a sleeper option to score some goals in the Knockout Stage.
Zusi has been heavily involved in the offense so far. He recorded two assists in Group Play and was in on almost every free kick. The midfielder will show up in the box score somehow and will be an extremely underrated fantasy option to secure from the USMNT during the Knockout Stage.
Dempsey has relished the opportunity to put this team on his back. He has been beaten and bloodied, but he has continued to give it everything he has in every game. Dempsey will be all over the field in Knockout Stage, and if the US has any success in the next round, Dempsey will surely be involved.
Howard is one of the best goalies in the world and he has lived up to that billing so far through the World Cup. The veteran will always keep the team in the game and will be the top fantasy option to gab off the US Roster. Consider him to number one fantasy option from the USMNT in the Knockout Stage.
